Custom furniture and lighting products are often created to meet specific requirements and to provide singular design statements for particular architectural projects.
Certain furniture and lighting designs, that were initially created as "one-off" custom projects, may become the basis for products that will be adapted and further developed as limited production pieces.
THE MYTHOS LUMINAIRE
The fixture was conceived as a fanciful and artful lighting machine. Inspired, in part, by the drawings of Leonardo Di Vinci. The articulating fixture is intended to evoke feelings of romance, invention and mystery. The piece is approximately six feet in total height and four feet in length. In the raised position, the "winglike" baffles reflect light into the surrounding space. As the bottom element is lowered, the baffles fold downward, reflecting light onto the surface below.
